Fairbairn Lineage 1i

| Father | Fairbairn Lineage 1 |
| WebIntro | The original Lineage 1i (patriarch Robert who married Elizabeth Young in Blantyre, Lanarkshire in 1847) has been extended back to include the Kelso lineage of Francis & Agnes (DICKIESON), assumed forbears of F-35 The connection between the two lines in this chart is theoretcial, and based on the 66/67 dna match between descendants of the two branches, probably optimistically, as FT DNA only give an 80% probability that the shared ancestor is within 6 generations. Robert (married to Elizabeth YOUNG) was engineer/surveyor for the Duke of Hamilton in the late 1840s but is assumed to have moved to Liverpool by at least 1854 as son George was born there. Family subsequently turn up in London (Bow, Poplar etc) but the fate of Robert is as yet unknown, as are any hints as to which of the dna related Scottish Borders FAIRBAIRN families he belongs too, other than this new (Dec 2010) dna match. Francis (married Agnes DICKIESON 1704) was the father of a James, likely to be the one who married Margaret LEARMONTH (a Francis was a witness to the latter's marriage). |
