Robert Fairbairn
#1124, (say 1784 - )
| Father | Robert Fairbairn ** (cir. Dec 1751 - Nov 1849) |
| WebIntro | Robert is the earliest proven ancestor of both Joe (F-10) and Ron (F-19). What the project hopes to prove is the story in Joe's grandfather's obituary that he, Albert, was a "cousin" to John A Fairbairn of Hoquiam, even if we are unlikely to ever find out how this may be so. |
| Birth | Robert Fairbairn was born say 1784. |
| Marriage | He married Elizabeth Taylor 2 Jun 1811 Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, ENG. |
| Y-DNA Detail | Marker 460 = 11 is assumed to signify the line of Robert & Elizabeth (TAYLOR), as both representatives show this value, the only two in "clump 2" to do so. Interesting that the only other Lineage 1 with this value is a descendant of another side of the "Hoquiam Triangle", William(F-12), but he is not their closest match, given that Joe(F-10) is in "clump 2", and only GD2 from the modal for Lineage 1 overall, ie closest to the descendants of John and Magdalen (BO), whereas William(F-12) is in "clump 1", and GD6 from the modal, (1 of the 6 being unique to his line over all of lineage 1, the other being shared, probably by coincidence, with Joe(F-10) as mentioned above). |
| Researcher(Progenitor) | Robert's line is being researched by Joe Fairbairn (F-10). Email: Joe (email current as at Feb 2009). |
| Researcher(Progenitor2+Rschrs) | Robert's line is also being researched by Ron Fairbairn (F-19). Both Ron and Joe (F-10) would very much like to find out where Robert fits into the Borders Fairbairn families they match. Email: Ron (email current as at Jun 2009). |
